FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I publish my work with ORACLE?
Becoming published is a résumé-builder for future employment and graduate school. You will also gain valuable experience with the publication process. You will improve your work through peer-review and receive access to a copy of your work published online that can be used as a future portfolio reference.
Am I eligible to submit?
Authors must be current SEU students or graduates. We also accept submissions by current SEU faculty and staff.
Does it cost anything to submit to ORACLE?
No. Submitting to Oracle is free; no strings attached.
After I submit, how long does the review process take?
Depending upon the date of submission, length of submitted work, and quick response of the author, most works receive approval for publication within six weeks time. Any issues or delays in response on the author’s side will result in longer processing times. Oracle editing processes may also pause during academic breaks.
Are you hiring new editors?
ORACLE is always looking for new team members. If you are interested in becoming an editor, visit our Work with Us page for more information.
How often are ORACLE journals published?
As of 2025, Oracle is printed on an annual basis in the Spring semester.
